Ben enjoying a West Los Angeles breeze

Short bio:
Ben's recent work is with in-vehicle interfaces at Toyota InfoTechnology Center in Mountain View, California. His experience with speech recognition spans 25 years between USA and Japan at Panasonic and at pre-IPO Nuance Communications . At ATR , his group developed the first Speech Translation System . At Stanford University's Center for the Study of Language and Information in collaboration with Toyota and Dejima (while their Engineering Vice President was Adam Cheyer who later founded Siri ), he worked on information systems that minimize driving errors.

His daughter, Grace , is studying at Waseda University's School of International Liberal Studies .
