Benjamin Reaves


Ben's recent work is with in-vehicle speech interfaces at Toyota InfoTechnology Center in Mountain View, California. His experience with speech recognition spans 25 years between Japan and the USA at Panasonic Speech Technology Lab, Nuance Communications, and ATR where his group developed their first Speech Translation System. He has been awarded 7 patents. While at Toyota he managed projects involving collaborations with Stanford University's Department of Communications, NEC Labs America, KDDI, and Dejima while their while their VP of Engineering was Adam Cheyer who later founded Siri.

Ben's daughter, Grace, studies at Waseda University.
